Savanna Keesee
Director of GreenRiver Academy
With a bachelor degree in education, specializations in; Pre-Developmental Education, Special Education, upper-level Science, and is continuing her degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Her experience in education was 13 years working in the public the public school system, with a diversity in educating all students. Mrs. Keesee has spent years in Greenbrier serving the community in multiple volunteer projects: 10 years Nature Instructor at Hearts Run Scout Camp, 3 years as a Girl Scout leader, 2 years as the president of the Alderson Friends of the Library group, as part of a 5 years’ service volunteering for the library, and flood clean-up for multiple years with the Red Cross in Alderson.
“My passion for education and therapeutic practices comes from experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and the curiosity to understand how they learn. All students can learn, some at a different pace, and some that need strategies that work for them.”
Tawnya Corralejo
I am a pre-k teacher here at GreenRiver academy, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Liberty University. This will be my eighth year of teaching in public and private schools in Greenbrier County in grades pre-k through 2nd grade.

I feel honored being in a role, along with our team at GreenRiver, that can support students and families with a quality foundation while families begin their journey in education. As families are navigating through this new chapter in life, I want families to know that bridging home and school can be achieved successfully.
I believe this time of early intervention in education is vital, and I am passionate about not only instructing students academically, but helping families meet goals and advocating when needs arise. I am so excited to meet new families and students while providing a fun and meaningful learning experience!”
Jie Liu
Pre-K teacher
Jie and her family moved to Lewisburg a few years ago and joined the GreenRiver Academy teaching team in 2022. She is a certified Montessori teacher, who has been teaching two to five years old children for more than ten years. Jie got her BA degree in education from China, and MBA degree in management from New York Institute of Technology.
Jie loves working with children and believes every child is unique. She is passionate about Montessori philosophy of following children, helping them work independently and respectfully. She desires to help children reach their potential and guide them toward meaningful growth.
Hannah Morningstar -Stout
Hannah grew up in White Sulphur springs and graduated from Greenbrier East High School in 2011. She then went on to attend Alderson Broaddus College, Bridgemont Community College, and New River Community and Technical College. Studying Dance, Education, and varies medical fields.Hannah is certified in many areas including American Sign Language, Recreational Education, and over 10 genres of dance. Hannah is our infant room lead teacher, and music and movement teacher. She is also the Director of Encore School for the arts in Lewisburg, WV. She resides in White Sulphur Springs with her husband Nicholas and their two children, Ava and Matthew.
Nicholas Rinaldi
My role at GreenRiver Academy is a teacher’s aid.
I attend mountain gateway community college for education K-6 grade along with early childhood development which will be completed in two more semesters. I will have my associate degree by spring 2025 and my bachelors from Bluefield state university one and a half years after my associate degree. I have been with GreenRiver Academy for the last two years.
I work with my co-workers as if they are family, I study underneath the teacher of the classrooms to improve and learn from them. I love working with the children, seeing them improve brings me joy.
